The Sauer-Organ in the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul in Moskau

Wilhelm Sauer built the organ for St. Michael’s Church in Moscow. After secularisation, the organ moved into the crematorium. After 1990, the crematorium became an Orthodox Church once more. The now redundant organ was claimed by the congregation of the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul in Moscow, in place of their long-vanished Walcker-organ. The organ was removed by laymen, and stored for many years in rooms at the Peter/Paul Church. The restoration of the organ took place in 2005-2006.
